Peskov: Putin to hold meeting on telecom development on Wednesday
MOSCOW, Jun 10 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a meeting on Wednesday on telecommunications development, the president’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
“It’ll be a video conference with a large number of participants, in fact, the whole government with (Prime Minister Mikhail) Mishustin at the head, the administration with (Chief of Staff Anton) Vaino, people from the industry,” Peskov said.
Operators Rostelecom, MTS, MegaFon, VimpelCom, as well as Internet companies Yandex and Mail.ru Group and top lender Sberbank will take part in the meeting.
“It’ll be a serious talk about one of the most important branches of our economy. Now, progress of any other sphere relies on synergy with this industry, because none of the sectors of the national economy can function without information and communications technologies,” Peskov said.
